Our vision will only be accomplished with people called by God to be more than mere passengers. We need people who will take responsibility and help us bring this into existence by sacrificial giving of time and money. Building in California is no easy task but we know that if Noah could build an ark in the wilderness, we too can believe in God to supply our needs.
The Bible says, “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.” (Matthew 24:37) We know from the Old Testament that in Noah’s day “every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil continuously…and the earth was filled with violence.” As a result, judgement ultimately came and those outside the promise of God were swept away in the flood.
The apostle Paul said, “In the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
With this in mind, we are establishing a fellowship for family preservation and stability as the ark was to Noah and his family. That is why the facility we intend to build has the ark as it’s theme. It’s purpose is not to be a novelty, but rather a vehicle that communicates to all, the message of salvation and redemption.
As the logo of our church depicts, the Old Testament symbol of salvation is anchored to the cross where our redemption was completed. As the ark in Noah’s day preserved the seed of the future, our goal is to preserve Christ’s values and give our young people the knowledge to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age through God’s teachings.
